Janes Defence Equipment & Technology covers a comprehensive global view of defence equipment, providing development histories, technical descriptions and specifications, imagery and a structured ontological database to allow swift interrogation of this content.

This session will cover:

  • An introduction to
    • Janes Defence Equipment & Technology website - Information and analysis on the air, land, naval and joint defence platforms, weapons and systems in service and under development around the world. Includes Data Analytics and specifications analysis.
    • Air & Space Module – a complete reference portfolio of air and space platforms and systems, including Aero-engines and All the World’s Aircraft to find equipment, and civil and military aircraft specifications.
  • A close look at
    • Janes Aerospace and Defence Companies providing a database of companies producing defence equipment, including location and contact information, to help showcase market segments, conduct supply chain analysis and interconnect Equipment, Inventories and Companies information together for a consolidated view of the defence industrial network.
  • An overview of
    • Janes Defence News provides access to a portfolio of Janes defence articles covering defence and security, as well as further contextual information on developments globally.
    • Janes Military Capabilities systematically tracks armed forces from 110+ countries with qualitative assessment documents and quantitative reporting on ORBATs, Inventories, Bases and force deployments between all three across both a geo-spatial and database view. The Inventories data is interconnected with Equipment information from Janes, allowing for seamless progression from capability to deployment analysis.
