Overview

Knovel is a key database for many engineering, mechanical and materials courses here at Cranfield University, and contains content from an extensive range of reference handbooks, conference proceedings and databases. Knovel delivers trusted, accessible and relevant answers and insights to engineering and materials problems, and provides interactive tools to let you manipulate, analyse and export data, including tables, graphs and equations.

Knovel is available to all Cranfield University students via the Databases A-Z list.

Please note: this demonstration does not offer hands-on practice or time to explore complex queries. If you have a complex question about Knovel, please email the Library.

This session will be delivered via Teams.

 

Who should participate?

Anyone who has an interest in finding materials and engineering data.

 

Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs)

By the end of this demostration, participants should be able to:

  • Have an awareness of the different tools and uses that Knovel can offer
  • Understand how to manipulate Knovel to find material property and engineering data
